Happy Spring! Print E-mail

It's busy, busy, busy at Wolf Valley! Where does the time go?  I can hardly believe it is April already.  The weather this past week has been delightful.  The snow day seems so long ago.  Now everything is that typical-for-this-time-of-year "yellow" color. Locals will know exactly what I mean.  There's a yellow blanket of pollen covering the state.

It gets all over everything! Everyone has a yellow car, yellow driveway, yellow mailbox.  Even my new grey roof is, well, sort of yellow!  I am sure it's really the nice grey color that I picked out, somewhere under that yellow-ish tinge.  But the birds are singing, the trees are bursting with beautiful buds, the temperatures are divine, and the sweet breeze feels relaxing.  Spring has sprung in the city, without a doubt.

In honor of the 'yellow' being upon us, we have created 2 new yellow web sites that went live this week!  Okay, that's not really true, 2 new web sites DID go live this week, but they both only have a teensy weensy non-consequential amount of yellow on them - and it's not from pollen!

This week we completed the website for Missions in Action, Inc., and A-Rak-A-Tak Deer Feed for Gatlin Corporation.

Missions In Action
- www.missionsinactioninc.org
Missions In Actions, Inc. (MIA) is a nonprofit organization who provide charitable support (food, clothing and other essentials), Christian education and outreach services to needy impoverished people in Mississippi and internationally. Specifically they support people in poverty and below poverty level townships and communities.

While the needs of the client did not call for a large feature-rich CMS, we still needed to ensue the client could maintain their own site easily.   We chose a smaller CMS option. The site provides information about the organization.  Photos, donor information, projects and activities, downloadable documents, and more.

A-Rak-A-Tak by Gatlin Corporation
- www.arakatak.com
A family owned feed manufacturer that has been in livestock feed manufacturing for 20 years. Gatlin Corp has developed their own special deer feed, "A-Rak-A-Tak".  This site was developed to promote that product.

The client needed a professional online image that would accurately present the professionalism of the company and shine a light on this new product. Even though the product, in its infancy, had no other marketing materials developed for us to use as a brand mechanism, the resulting site shows the dedication Gatlin has to promoting this product.

With several other web sites currently under production, we hope to have 3 more complete within the next 3 weeks.  We also have some ebooks being developed. Two of our existing ebooks will be updated and a couple of new ones will be added to the catalogue.  Spring sure is a busy time.

Of course, when the 'work day' hours are over, there's gardens to be tended, lawns to be mown, spring cleaning, and plenty of other household chores.

Just remember to stop and smell the roses every now and then.... unless they are still covered in pollen and you are allergic, of course!

Heres my Easter 'geek' joke for you.  It's Easter, so I will need a rabbit and a networking cable.  Why? For the "Ether Bunny", of course!

Happy Spring to you all!
